The Fort Bend GIS Consortium is a GIS users group for Fort Bend County, Texas. The purpose of the group is to reduce costs, facilitate solving data development and exchange problems, data sharing, and project development. Consortium membership is open to public agencies as well as the private sector.
Through quarterly meetings, members are able to participate in regional strategic planning with public partners, further professional education through member and guest presentations, and foster the development of geospatial systems and solutions that aid in delivering spatial data and products to our primary stakeholder; the public.
